Legacy Christian Academy - Policies and Hours

"Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify you Father who is in heaven." Matthew 5:16

Admissions Policy

Legacy Christian Academy is an independent, distinctly Christian educational institution emphasizing academic excellence and a comprehensive college preparatory education. We provide a distinctly Christian education that encourages children to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to develop a Christian worldview through the application of God's Word. Families seeking enrollment in our school acknowledge their support of our policy, understand our statement of faith, and agree to abide by all policies of Legacy Christian Academy.

While we are a distinctly Christian school, our admissions policy reflects our desire to have a diverse and multicultural enrollment in our school. All faiths are welcome at Legacy Christian Academy.

Non-discrimination Policy

Legacy Christian Academy admits students of any race, color, creed, religion, and national or ethnic origin to all programs and activities generally accorded and made available to students at the school.

Uniform Policy

All Legacy students are required to wear the school uniform. Uniform pieces are available through Land's End. These items include pants, shorts, skorts and jumpers (for girls), polo shirts, sweaters, and vests in a variety of colors. Students may wear jackets of their choice as long as they conform to Legacy's color scheme.

Discipline Policy

Legacy maintains a high standard for student conduct. All staff members are trained to uphold this standard through positive reinforcement and consistent, appropriate discipline. Legacy believes that the purpose of discipline is to teach children self-control. Students receive clear instruction about classroom and school rules. These expectations are reinforced through positive management systems and logical consequences for misbehavior.

Extended Care

Before and after school care is available from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Full-day care is available on some vacation days as well. After school care includes a snack, a quiet place to complete homework, sports, crafts, cooking, field trips and more.

A dynamic summer camp is also available in the summer months along with art, science and computer camps.

School Calendar

Legacy Christian Academy follows a customized, blended school calendar beginning in mid-August and ending in early June. Students have a week-long break in fall and spring as well as a two-week break in winter.
